2008-03-16 - Dwarf Cherry blossoms Lens: Raynox DCR-150 Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/100s, f8 ------------------------------------------- Not many trees blossom here yet, and those that do only holds a small number of blossoms. Like this Dwarf Cherry, Prunus cerasus. Not too many blossoms on it but enough to make it a little hard to pick which ones to photograph.. To the photos >> |

2008-03-16 - Midland Hawthorn Lens: Raynox DCR-150 Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/125 - 250s, f8 ------------------------------------------- I think it's most common to use macro for things like moss and lichen, but it is possible also to use the zoom. You don't get the real close ups of course, but on the other hand the depth of focus is considerably better. And it's fun too. To the photos >> |

2008-03-04 - Cornelian cherry dogwood Lens: Raynox DCR-150 Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/125s, f8 ------------------------------------------- I have taken photos of this tree's blossom once before. Then using the Raynox 250. I was pleased with those images, but I couldn't resist taking photos with the Raynox 150 too. It's actually quite hard to say which are the best. Beautiful blossom nonetheless To the photos >> |

2008-02-29 - Trees and a winding plant Lens: None (zoom) Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/80s, f3,5 - 4,5 ------------------------------------------- These trees grow down in The Pit and they don't seem to mind beeing flooded from time to time. Unfortunately I don't know what kind of tree it is only that they have heart shaped leaves that gets beautifully subdued colours in Autumn. To the photos >> |

2008-02-25 - Cornelian cherry dogwood Lens: Raynox DCR-250 Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/160 - 250s, f8 ------------------------------------------- Many trees bloom before they develop any leaves. Like the Cornelian cherry dogwood, Cornus mas. The flowers are small and yellow. Later on there will be red cherry-like berries. I don't recall having seen any of those. Here are some macro photos of the flowers. To the photos >> |

2008-02-04 - European Larch Lens: None (zoom) Flash: No Settings: M mode, ISO 80, 1/250s, f5,6 ------------------------------------------- This Larch, and two others, are growing close to the peoples park Sundspärlan. They look rather old and only have branches at the top of thehir trunks. No needles at this time of year. I think the Larch is perhaps the most beautiful of our coniferous trees. To the photos >> |
